Get off my cloud
Mick Jagger and Keith Richards wrote "Get Off of My Cloud" as a single to follow "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" which had been extremely successful Richards commented: "'Get Off of My Cloud' was basically a response to people knocking on our door asking us for the follow-up to 'Satisfaction'. Recorded in Hollywood, CA in early September 1965, the song topped the charts in the US, UK, Canada, and Germany

Start Me Up
"Start Me Up" was initially a reggae song recorded in March 1975 for the Rolling Stones' album Black and Blue. It was abandoned but later re-recorded during January and March 1978 for the Some Girls album. The infectious "thump" to the original was achieved using mixer Bob Clearmountain's famed "bathroom reverb", a process involving the recording of some of the song's vocal and drum tracks with a miked speaker in the bathroom of the Power Station recording studio in New York City!

You Can't Always Get...
Originally released on the B-side of "Honky Tonk Women" in July 1969, the song did not chart until it was re-released in 1973 - when "You Can't Always Get What You Want" reached number 42 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 34 on the Cashbox Top 100 Singles chart. It proved to be quite difficult to record because Charlie couldn't play the groove and so Jimmy Miller (producer) had to play the drums. The album version has the London Bach Choir
midnight rambler
Released on their 1969 album "Let It Bleed", Midnight Rambler is a loose biography of Albert DeSalvo, who confessed to being the Boston Strangler. Mick and Keith wrote the entire song while on holiday in Positano, Italy, including all the tempo changes. It has been a concert favourite ever since.
This video was filmed at "Rock The Park" in Parksville in front of an audience of ~4,000. We were joined on stage by our good friend Keith "Sugar Blue" Oliver on harmonica.
Sympathy for The Devil
Always a crowd favourite! Credited to Mick and Keith, this song was recorded in London's Olympic Studios in June 1968. Mick brought the melody and lyrics, but the song didn't quite work to the band's liking. They tried many variations and finally Keith suggested a faster tempo and samba feel... and the rest is history! An interesting annecdote is the Producer Jimmy Miller was overheard repeating "who? who?" while Mick was laying down the vocal track - and this subsequently became the repeating chant of "woo woo".
It's only rock 'n' roll
It's Only Rock 'n' Roll" is the lead track to The Stones twelfth studio album of the same name. Surprisingly, the single didn't do well in the charts, only reaching the Top 10 in the UK. The recordings were made at a transitional time for the band - it was self-produced following the departure of long-time producer Jimmy Miller, and was also the last to feature guitarist Mick Taylor, who was subsequently replaced by Ronnie Wood.
angry (Coming soon)
"Angry" was the lead single from the 2023 album "Hackney Diamonds" - the band's first new original music since the 2020 single "Living in a Ghost Town". The Telegraph called it the band's "best single in four decades, an absolute blast" [with "extravagant, leering defiance"...and the overall style as "unapologetically old-fashioned". "Angry" was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Rock Song at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards.
